  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Green food coloring (gel or liquid)
  • Red sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until thoroughly combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Add a few drops of green food coloring, mixing well until the desired color is achieved.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Top each cookie with a single red sprinkle.
  9. Bake for about 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers remain soft.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
