1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
Prepare the Mashed Potatoes: Boil peeled and cut potatoes in cold water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain, mash with milk and butter, and season with salt and pepper.
Cook the Ground Beef: Heat vegetable oil, sauté onions and garlic until soft, add ground beef and brown for 6-8 minutes.
Create the Gravy: Sprinkle flour over beef, add broth and Worcestershire sauce, simmer until thick, about 5 minutes.
Serve the gravy over the mashed potatoes.
