Scrumptious Ground Beef Pasta

A rich and comforting dish combining ground beef and pasta in a flavorful tomato sauce, topped with melted cheese.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Toss in the ground beef, cooking for 7-10 minutes until browned.
  4. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  5. Stir in the tomato sauce, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; let simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain.
  7. Toss the drained pasta into the sauce, mixing well.
  8. Add the shredded cheese and fold until melted.
  9. Serve warm, optionally with fresh herbs on top.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or frozen for up to 3 months.
