Spooktacular Halloween Sushi

A fun and tasty twist on traditional sushi, perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1/2 lb sushi-grade tuna
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 cucumber (thinly sliced)
  • 4 sheets nori
  • Optional: cream cheese, avocado, sesame seeds, colorful veggies

Instructions

  1. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions (about 20 minutes).
  2. Cool the rice at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down.
  4. Spread sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving an inch at the top.
  5. Mix tuna, mayonnaise, and sriracha in a bowl; spread over the rice.
  6. Add cucumber strips on top of the tuna mixture.
  7. Roll tightly from the bottom using the mat; wet the top edge to seal.
  8. Slice roll into bite-sized pieces with a sharp knife.
  9. Arrange on a platter and serve with wasabi and pickled ginger.

Notes

For extra spooky flair, consider using food-safe dye in the rice.
