Healthy Chocolate Chip Applesauce Cookies

Delightful cookies combining the classic chocolate chip flavor with the health benefits of applesauce, perfect for guilt-free indulgence.

  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free oats
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the applesauce, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, combine the almond flour, gluten-free oats, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture; stir gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days. For longer freshness, refrigerate or freeze before baking.
