Heaven on Earth Cake

A delightful no-bake dessert with layers of angel food cake, cheesecake pudding, and cherry pie filling.

  • 1 angel food cake, prepared and cut into cubes
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant cheesecake pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pack (30 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 1 container (8 ounces) whipped topping, chilled
  • 1 tablespoon roasted almond slices (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding mixture: Whisk together pudding mix, milk, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), and vanilla until smooth. Let it thicken for 5 minutes.
  2. Layer the cake: Arrange half of the angel food cake cubes in a baking dish.
  3. Spoon the cherries: Spread half of the cherry pie filling over the cake cubes.
  4. Add another cake layer: Place remaining cake cubes on top of the cherry layer.
  5. Spread the pudding: Pour the pudding mixture over the top layer of cake cubes.
  6. Top with whipped topping: Spoon the whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  7. Finish with cherries and chill: Add remaining cherry pie filling on top, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Garnish before serving: Sprinkle roasted almond slices on top before slicing and serving.

Notes

Make ahead for best results; the flavors deepen as it chills. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
