Zesty Lemon Frozen Yogurt

A refreshing and healthy twist on traditional ice cream, this Lemon Frozen Yogurt combines tangy lemon with creaminess, making it the perfect summer treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups vanilla Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1/3 cup sugar or sweetener of choice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest (from 1 lemon)
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large measuring cup, whisk together the Greek yogurt, sugar, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and turmeric (if using) until well combined—about 2-3 minutes.
  2. If using an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into the chilled machine and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually around 20-25 minutes).
  3. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until solid (about 4-5 hours). Then, blend the cubes in a food processor or blender until smooth and creamy.
  4. Enjoy immediately or transfer to an airtight container and store in the freezer. Garnish with lemon zest or fresh mint leaves before serving.
