Heavenly Honey Buttercream Frosting

A creamy and dreamy Honey Buttercream Frosting that transforms any dessert into a family heirloom.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup pure honey
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 24 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed for about 2-3 minutes until creamy and light in color.
  2. Add the powdered sugar gradually, about one cup at a time, with the mixer on low speed.
  3. Incorporate honey and vanilla extract, and optionally add 2 tablespoons of milk or cream.
  4. Beat for an additional 3-4 minutes at medium-high speed until fluffy and smooth.
  5. Adjust consistency by adding more milk or cream one tablespoon at a time, if too thick.
  6. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

For variations, consider adding lemon zest for a twist or use maple syrup instead of honey.
