  • 4 ounces deli-sliced ham (about 4 slices)
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced salami (about 56 slices)
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced sandwich pepperoni (about 56 slices)
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced peppered turkey (about 3 slices)
  • 4 ounces provolone cheese (about 4 thin slices)
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce or mixed greens
  • ½ large tomato (sliced)
  • ¼ large red onion (thinly sliced)
  • ¼ cup sliced green or black olives
  • ¼ cup sliced banana peppers
  • 1 Tablespoon freshly chopped basil (optional)
  • ½ tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1½ tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 Tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon spicy mustard or regular mustard

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients on a large cutting board.
  2. Start with a generous layer of shredded lettuce, followed by slices of tomato, red onion, olives, and banana peppers.
  3. Lay down hearty layers of assorted meats and slices of provolone cheese.
  4. Using a large knife, chop all the layered ingredients into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Add the chopped ingredients to a bowl and mix with mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, olive oil, and red wine vinegar.
  6. Scoop the filling into toasted Italian sub rolls or baguettes. Serve immediately.
