A heartwarming lemon chicken recipe that combines tangy lemon zest and juicy chicken breasts, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 large lemon, zested
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup chicken stock
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Parsley or basil for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Zest and juice the lemon. Set aside.
  2. Season the chicken with lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Dredge the chicken in flour, shaking off excess.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove chicken and set aside to rest.
  7. Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant.
  8. Add chicken stock, scraping up brown bits, and bring to a simmer.
  9. Stir in butter until melted and creamy. Return chicken to the pan to warm up.
  10. Plate the chicken and garnish with parsley or basil and lemon wedges. Enjoy!
