Millionaire Gnocchi with Creamy Sauce

A luxurious comfort food classic, featuring soft potato gnocchi enveloped in a rich, creamy sauce with garlic and Parmesan.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb potato gnocchi
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil a pot of salted water and add the gnocchi once it’s at a rolling boil. Cook until the gnocchi float, about 2-3 minutes, then scoop out with a slotted spoon and drain.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter and olive oil. Once the butter is melted, add the drained gnocchi and sear until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Lower the heat to medium-low, add the garlic, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and let simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan, rosemary, parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy.
  6. Return the gnocchi to the skillet and toss until fully coated in the sauce, about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and herbs.

Notes

For optimal flavor, use high-quality ingredients, especially cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
