¾ cup warm milk (110°F)
2¼ tsp active dry yeast
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tbsp orange zest
½ tsp salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
For the Filling:
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp orange zest
1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp orange juice
1 tsp orange zest
½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Make Dough: Dissolve yeast in warm milk with 1 tsp sugar. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy. Mix in remaining sugar, egg, melted butter, orange zest, and salt. Gradually add flour until soft dough forms.
Knead & Rise: Knead dough 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
Prepare Filling: Mix softened butter, sugar, orange zest, and cinnamon.
Shape Rolls: Roll dough into 12×18-inch rectangle. Spread filling evenly. Roll tightly from long side. Cut into 12 slices.
Second Rise: Place rolls in greased 9×13 pan. Cover and rise 30 minutes.
Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake 20-25 minutes until golden.
Glaze: Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
