Oven-Roasted Asparagus

A simple yet delicious side dish that elevates asparagus with a perfect roast, enhancing its natural flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the asparagus thoroughly under cold water and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. Trim the woody ends of each spear by bending it until it breaks naturally.
  4. Place the asparagus on a large baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper, and toss to coat.
  5. Arrange the asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  6. Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes, until tender and golden-brown.
  7. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice before serving.

Notes

Check asparagus around 10 minutes to ensure they don’t overcook. Use thicker spears for best results.
