  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • Additional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Stir in the peppermint extract.
  4. Gradually blend in the flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Add the crushed peppermint candies and fold them into the dough.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, keeping an eye on them.
  8. Let them cool for 5 minutes before dusting with additional powdered sugar.
  9. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Dough can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
