Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes

A flavorful twist on two classics, combining the indulgence of a cheesy Philly cheesesteak with the fun of Sloppy Joes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons A-1 sauce
  • 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
  • 4 toasted buns
  • 4 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart, for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the diced onion and green pepper, cooking until soft, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Stir in beef broth, A-1 sauce, and steak seasoning. Let it simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes.
  4. Toast buns with a thin layer of butter on both sides until golden brown.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture onto the buns and top each with a slice of provolone cheese. Broil for 1-2 minutes if you prefer extra melty cheese.

Notes

Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. The beef mixture can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
