Savory Portobello Mushroom Sliders

Delicious sliders featuring grilled portobello mushrooms, melted white cheddar cheese, and customizable toppings, perfect for BBQs or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 large portobello mushrooms
  • 8 Hawaiian rolls
  • 8 slices of white cheddar cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: Lettuce, tomato, avocado, homemade aioli

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium heat.
  2. Brush the portobello mushrooms with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill the mushrooms, gill side down, for 5-7 minutes on each side until tender.
  4. Place a slice of white cheddar cheese on top of each mushroom during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  5. Brush Hawaiian rolls with olive oil and grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the sliders with mushrooms and optional toppings between the rolls.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Keep an eye on the mushrooms to avoid overcooking. You can marinate them for added flavor.
