Ultimate Easy Pulled Chicken Sliders

These Pulled Chicken Sliders are a delicious and easy crowd-pleaser, perfect for gatherings with their juicy, tender chicken and tangy BBQ sauce.

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 68 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls, brioche, or potato rolls)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 1/2 cup coleslaw (optional topping)
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickles (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. For Slow Cooker: Place chicken into the slow cooker. Add BBQ sauce and seasonings. Stir to coat and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until fork-tender. Shred chicken in the cooker.
  2. For Instant Pot: Add chicken, BBQ sauce, and seasonings to the Instant Pot. Seal and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes, then naturally release pressure. Shred chicken in the sauce.
  3. For Stovetop: Sear chicken in a skillet until golden. Add BBQ sauce and spices, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Shred chicken in the pan.
  4. If desired, lightly toast the buns and brush them with melted butter and honey.
  5. Assemble sliders: Place pulled chicken on the bottom half of each bun, top with coleslaw and pickles, then add the top bun and serve warm.

Notes

Try using organic chicken for the best flavor. You can customize sliders with different toppings and BBQ sauces.
