Deliciously Easy Pulled Pork Crock Pot with BBQ Sauce

A simple and budget-friendly recipe for pulled pork cooked to tender perfection in a crock pot with flavorful BBQ sauce.

  • 4-pound pork shoulder
  • 3 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves (sliced into slivers)
  • 3 tbsp BBQ rub
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Brush this mixture on all sides of the pork roast.
  2. Slice garlic into slivers and insert into cuts made in the pork roast.
  3. Mix brown sugar, salt, ground pepper, and BBQ rub in a separate bowl. Coat the pork with this mixture.
  4. Place the pork in the crock pot, cover, and cook on low for 8-10 hours until tender.
  5. Remove the pork, shred it with forks, leaving the liquid behind. Stir in reserved cooking liquid and BBQ sauce.
  6. Serve warm with buns, pickles, and coleslaw.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4-5 days, and it freezes well for up to 3 months.
