  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat, stirring occasionally for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Stir in pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and smooth out the top.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
