Savory Shrimp Scampi

A delightful Italian comfort food featuring succulent shrimp in a buttery garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Linguine or spaghetti, cooked (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high and add the shrimp. Season with salt and pepper; cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  4. Pour in white wine and lemon juice; let simmer for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are fully cooked.
  5. Serve over cooked linguine or spaghetti, garnishing with chopped parsley.

Notes

Use fresh, wild-caught shrimp for the best flavor. Substitute wine with chicken broth for a non-alcoholic option.
