Silky Apple Cider Whipped Topping

A light and fluffy whipped topping infused with sweet apple cider and a hint of cinnamon, perfect for enhancing autumn desserts.

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup fine granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fresh apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon fresh vanilla beans

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the apple cider and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is reduced and thickened, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form, about 2-4 minutes.
  3. Gradually add the cooled cider mixture to the whipped egg whites while mixing on low speed. Mix until just combined.
  4. Carefully fold in the cinnamon and vanilla beans until well incorporated.
  5. Use the whipped topping immediately on your favorite desserts.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a vegan version, use coconut cream and a non-dairy sweetener.
