Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Tilapia Fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 45 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt (or to taste)

  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Thaw the tilapia fillets if frozen and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper to taste.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and chopped parsley, then remove from heat.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add tilapia fillets and sear for 3-4 minutes until golden. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the fish flakes easily.
  4. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the tilapia, baste with a spoon, and serve immediately garnished with extra parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

For a baked version, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C), place seasoned fillets in a baking dish, pour garlic butter sauce over and bake for 10-15 minutes.
