- 1 pound store-bought or homemade pizza dough
- ¾ cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 2 ½ cups low-moisture whole milk shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup full-fat sour cream
- 1 can (6 ounces) jumbo black olives, pitted
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven now.
- On a floured surface, stretch and shape your pizza dough into a circle or rectangle, about 12 inches in diameter.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the base, leaving about an inch around the edges for the crust. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- In a squeeze bottle or a plastic bag, fill with sour cream. Snip a small hole and pipe concentric circles starting from the center, dragging a toothpick from the center to edge to create a web.
- Place whole olives on the pizza for spider bodies and use sliced olives for legs. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Notes
Optional: Brush crust with olive oil during the last few minutes of baking for a beautiful sheen.
