A delightful fusion of sweet and savory flavors, these Sticky Korean Chicken Thighs are marinated in a rich sauce and cooked to perfection, making a comforting family favorite.

  • 1 lb chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (grated, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon oil or butter (for cooking)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, and honey. Optionally, add grated ginger for spice. Set aside.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken thighs in a shallow dish or zip-lock bag. Pour marinade over and coat well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for better flavor.
  3. Preheat the Skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add oil or butter.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken thighs to the hot skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on one side until caramelized.
  5. Flip and Finish Cooking: Flip the chicken and cover the skillet, cooking for another 6-7 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  6. Garnish & Serve: Remove from heat, let rest, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with rice or veggies.

Notes

Marinate overnight for better flavor; adjust sweetness or spice to taste; served well with jasmine rice or vegetables.
