Ingredients

Scale

  • 225g cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce
  •   1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican cheese blend
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • Optional: sliced jalapeños, chopped cilantro
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix base: Beat together sour cream, cream cheese, and taco seasoning until smooth.
  2. Layer: Spread mixture in 9×13″ dish or serving platter.
  3. Hot version: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 mins if serving warm (skip for cold version).
  4. Top: Layer lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, olives, green onions, and optional avocado/salsa in order.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate 1 hour before serving if making cold version.
  6. Serve: With chips and veggies for dipping.

Notes

  • Shortcut: Use pre-shredded coleslaw mix instead of lettuce.
  • Lighter option: Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
  • Make ahead: Prepare base up to 2 days in advance; add toppings within 2 hours of serving.
  • For individual servings, layer in small mason jars.
