Deliciously thick and chewy peanut butter cookies with a perfect balance of nutty sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together the peanut butter, softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Use about 2 tablespoons of dough to form balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Using a fork, flatten each ball to create a crisscross pattern.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
  9. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For better texture, ensure butter and eggs are at room temperature. You can customize by adding chocolate chips or nuts.
